364 days.

I started my business.
I learned way more than I expected.
Met so many amazing people.
Been knocked down.
Been picked up.
Got to do what I love for a living.
Learned the grueling side of owning your own business.
Learned that I could do nothing else but own my own business in my life.
I saw all of my best friends which was a huge goal for me since they all live in different states.
I have been encouraged and humbled daily from strangers, friends and family.
Fallen even more in love with my husband and seen him flourish at what he loves to do.
I have put my heart on my sleeve and learned a whole new side of love that I wasn’t aware of before.
I have learned that I have a huge passion for children and I am going to use my God given talents to reach out and do my part in this life to help change.
Been blessed with the opportunity to travel to do what I love.
Traveled to Chicago, West Palm Beach, Milwaukee, The Twin Cities in Minnesota, Seattle, Las Vegas, Portland…5 of which are new to me.

364 days later I can say that I achieved 9 out of my 11 new years goals/resolutions. The 2 not achieved  being waking up at 7:30 everyday and exercising everyday..which of course are on my 2010 goal/ list.

I wasn’t going to put together images from this past year but I started looking through my photobucket and got alittle too emotional…here are some of my favs.

so excited for the next! Amazing changes are just weeks away from being shared and I am so happy that you are here to join us on that journey. We hope all of you have had an amazing 2009 with lots of experiences, growth, love, and happiness! Happy New Years!

This was from one of our most favorite moments of 2009. Our 1 year anniversary photo shoot in Seattle with one of our favorites Sarah Rhoads.

Now…onto 2010… here is a sneak peak of what is to come.

The lead singer Nate Ruess, formed a band with some of my other favorite artists from bands such as Steel Train and Anathallo, called Fun. I was skeptical when I first heard there was this new band out, I mean how could anything top The Format!!?? Well… this band comes pretty darn close to being as amazing and their name totally lives up to their vibe. You know that song that comes on the stereo just when you are getting ready to arrive at your destination and the song alone makes you stay in your car to finish it…and then listen to it again? My favorite song from the Fun. album is called The Gambler and it does just that. This is a song that Nate wrote about his parents…I love the perspective of the song..the back and forthness between characters. It’s an intimate, personal song that describes his parents relationship and family and I know his parents must feel like the luckiest people in the world to receive this gift…they pretty much are.

Happy Holidays! I hope you and your loved ones have the most special time this year and remember what it is all about!

Lauren and Steve are the spokesmodels for that quote for me. They were lovebirds in high school, parted ways for a few years and have found each other once again and I couldn’t think of a better match. Here is a quick session we did in Matts culdesac during my Florida visit. <3

like i mentioned a couple posts ago…Lauren is constantly smiling. I love her smile!!


I had to include this..how cute is my best friend?

I met Lauren in 5th grade. It was the first day of school and she was the new kid in school. I saw her in after care wearing a black and white striped dress that adorned a plastic smiley face on the front. She had pig tails and glasses and the biggest smile you could imagine. I remember my group of friends telling me that Lauren was in their class and she seemed pretty cool. That night I went to the first girl scout meeting of the season and in comes Lauren..new to the town and new to our troop. That is when our friendship began.

Lauren is constantly smiling ( will be posting pictures to prove it in the next few days). Her nickname was Giggles in middle school for a reason. She is one of the most ambitious people. I remember every week getting a different call saying “Im going to do cheerleading!” ” I’m going to be an acrobat!” “I’m going to be a model!” “Im going to be a marine biologist!”. Well I am proud to say my best friend saves animals lifes everyday.

I met Matt in 11th grade..so alittle later in the game but he is my brother from another mother. I met him in math class where we just goofed off the whole time and copied each others papers..that class was really a joke. He was in the towns most popular band “Odd Man Out” and I became one of their biggest fans! With lyrics like “if it weren’t for french fries I would die” I was in the front row requesting the songs they hated to perform. But in all honesty I was a proud best friend watching Matt and his band perform on Regis and Kelly and taking off to play at CBGB before it closed in NYC. When Matt told me he was going to go to school to be a firefighter I just about puked..the thought scared me so much. Thankfully the first day of school he realized it wasn’t for him and attended Full Sail University quickly after to study music recording and engineering and is now working in Miami with Pharrell and awesome artists like him every day. So proud of him for following his dreams.

Matt is one of the most talented and intelligent people I know. He is the friend that will drop everything to be by your side as soon as possible. He is the brother that when I see I start punching and start fighting playfully. He is a creature of habit that sits in the same booth, gets the same drink, on the same day…but I love that in a way because I know where I can always find him and he will be there.

And this is me. I am who I am today because of these two angels! I love you guys!
