I love the ocean. Growing up in West Palm Beach, Florida I was pretty lucky to have it about a half hour away from me. Unfortunately, I was introduced at the later age of 10, even having only lived in WPB. Lauren and her family introduced me to the Atlantic and I fell instantly in love. Something about burning to a crisp, playing around in tropical warm water that you can see the bottom of the ocean floor, salt water lips and eye lids, and ohhh the beach hair! I refused to wash my hair because I love what the salt water does to it. When I got my first car, I constantly drove to the beach. The summer of 2004 I lived in my bathing suit, turned dark brown, had a sand filled car and lived on Taco Bell. In South Florida you expect rain on a daily basis, so I would simply plan my sleeping, eating, working, maybe even school around the schedule of the rain. Now it sounds like I haven’t seen the ocean in 2 years right? I do live 13 miles from the ocean and the California ocean isn’t the same to me. It isn’t warm or tropical. I feel like a spoiled Floridian when I dip my big toe in the water and run away because its so cold. For awhile I reconsidered my love with the ocean and wondered if it was just lust after all…but after having the opportunity to frolic and enjoy the warmth (yes..even in december), salt water, ocean bottom viewing and beach hair at my favorite Palm Beach beach ‘Sunset’, I really am in love.

heres a sneak peek of these two love birds..more coming tomorrow.
